Important change to email settings for Adobe BC email clients

This an important notice to clients using Adobe BC mail.

You need to update your email client settings before the 15th of April 2016

For email accounts that use the Adobe Business Catalyst server, your email client settings (eg Outlook, Apple Mail, Thunderbird) need to be updated to the following:

Inbound (receive emails)

Inbound Server: mail.worldsecureemail.com
Inbound Server Type: IMAPS (port # 993) / POP (Port # 995)
User Name: the email address for this account
Connection Security: SSL/TLS
Authentication Method: Normal Password

Outbound (send emails)* see important note below

Outbound Server: mail.worldsecureemail.com - please read below before changing this
Outbound Server Type: SMTPS (Port # 465)
User Name: the email address for this account
Connection Security: SSL/TLS
Authentication Method: Normal Password

*Important note regarding Outbound Server:

You only need to update the settings for your outbound server if they are set to the same address as your current inbound server (ie mail."your domain".com.au). If not, leave them as is.

By "your domain".com.au we mean the domain for your own website. For example for us this would be rangsgraphics.com.

For more details on how to update your email client settings, follow the steps described in the Business Catalyst How to configure SSL encryption for your email client article.

Remember, after the account settings update, to test that your email software can still send and receive emails.

You will also be required to use https://mail.worldsecureemail.com for accessing your mailbox using a web browser (webmail). Please note that site administrators will still be able to use the Admin Console and access their mailbox through Single Sign On as before.

Please note that this update needs to be made to your email software by the 15th of April.

What will happen after April 15th 2016?

After the 15th of April your email software will not be able to send and receive emails until you make this change.

We are sorry for this inconvenience but it is a change that Adobe has made to make email accounts more secure.

If you need help with this important change please contact us and we will help walk you through it.
